Hardship: Hon Ekpenyong Hails Eno, Tinubu On Palliative
The transition Chairman of Uruan Local Government Area, Hon. Surv. Iniobong Ekpenyong has expressed his gratitude to Akwa Ibom state Governor, Umo Eno for doubling the number of food items sent by the federal government to plenish supplies.
Hon. Ekpenyong who spoke with Journalists, gave the commendation during the sharing of palliative to villages in Uruan Local Government Area, He also thanked President Bola Tinubu and Governor Umo Eno for their prompt and compassionate responses to the people’s plight through the provision of palliatives.
He tasked village heads and youth leaders to ensure transparency in the distribution of food items, warning against hoarding commodities during these trying times.
NNH had earlier reported that federal government dispensed 24,000 bags of rice to the vulnerable in Akwa Ibom State while the State Government had doubled the number with the procurement of additional 24,000 bags of rice ,making it 48,000 bags , alongside 4544 bags of garri for distribution.
Hon. Ekpenyong who picked PDP Chairmanship nomination form on Friday for second term, said I’m very happy for what president Bola Tinubu and Governor Eno offered to my people in Uruan local government.
