Father Ki||s, Secretly Buries 3-day Old Baby

A 19-year-old man (name withheld) has been arrested for allegedly killing of his three-day old baby and secretly burying her corpse in Girpata ar a of Mubi North Local Area of Adamawa State.

Spokesperson for the Adamawa Police Command, SP Suleiman Nguroje in a statement in Yola on Saturday said the suspect was arrested following report by mother of the baby.

He said the was arrested on Nov. 8, over alleged murder of the three-day-old baby boy.

“The suspect was accused by the complainant, who is his girl friend, of murdering the three days baby after she gave birth to it,” he said.

Nguroje said preliminary investigation showed that the suspect impregnated the complainant, and after giving birth she called the suspect to come for his baby.

He said the suspect visited the complainant’s house during the night hours, and carried the baby after he sent her on errand.

The spokesman said the suspect killed the baby and buried the corpse at Girpata area of Mubi.

According to him, the Commissioner of Police, Morris Dankombo has ordered the case to be transfer to the Criminal Investigation Department (CUD), for discreet investigation.
