The main cause of the fights between Israel and Palestine. Reports indicate that, for centuries Israelites and Palestinians have been at war with each other.
Israelites are mostly Jews while the Palestinians are mostly Muslims.
This ongoing war has not started now and will continue for along time. The deep rooted animosity between the two nations is finally revealed by the Conversation Newspaper.
They are Allegedly fighting because of the City of Jerusalem.
Jerusalem is a city in Israel that is considered as one of the oldest cities in the world. In addition, both Jews and Muslims consider it a Holy city.
As a result, both factions are constantly fighting to get control of the Holy city which will allegedly bring them closer to God.
Jerusalem was once known as Yerushalayim in Hebrew and as Al-Quds in Arabic. Over the years it has been destroyed, conquered and rebuild repeatedly but it has still managed to beat the test of time.
The major reason why Jerusalem is such an important city to the two religion is because of 35 acre piece of land in the city known as the Temple Mount. This piece of land is the cause of all the blood shed and animosity surrounding the war.

The Jews consider Temple Mount to be the Holiest of places. They believe that this is the place where Abraham went to sacrifice his son Jacob as per God’s instruction before God presented him with a lamp to sacrifice.
ASA result of this faith, this land was blessed and became a holy ground where Jews could pray to God.
On the other hand the Muslims also consider it to be the third holy place after Mecca and Medina.
They believe this is the place where Prophet Mohammed ascended to heaven. As a result, the place became holy.
Both Jews and Muslims believe they have an equal right to the cite and will fight each other to pray to their God.
They have killed one another over a piece of land. Yet both claim that a prayer can be answered from anywhere. This might be a case of preaching water and drinking wine.
