Information reaching Naija News House says that Many Feared Dead As Fire Breaks Out In Abuja Popular Market
The popular Kubwa Village Market in the Bwari Area Council, Abuja, is currently on fire, leading to the death of an unspecified number of persons.
The incident which occurred on Friday evening razed down several shops.
A source disclosed that the incident followed a tanker explosion close to the market.
According to her, many corpses have been recovered from the scene of the incident.
The incident comes a few days after a 21-storey building collapsed on Gerrard Road, in the Ikoyi area of Lagos State.
The 21-floor building that collapsed was one of 360 degrees towers in the highbrow Lagos area.
Emergency workers have evacuated nine persons alive from the debris of the building while about 39 persons have been confirmed dead.
Police authorities have also vowed to punish those responsible for the collapse of the building.
