Gunmen Abduct Corp Members Returning From Camp

Unidentified gunmen have kidnapped some National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.

However, the number of the kidnapped Corps members is yet to be ascertained.

Reports have it that that the Corps members were returning from the recent orientation camping exercise in Ondo State.

It was gathered that they were kidnapped on Tuesday, May 16 around 9pm at Rumuji axis of the East-West Road in Emohua, on their way to Port Harcourt.

Five of the corps members were said to have escaped the abduction and reported at the Rumuji Divisional Police Station.

Meanwhile, the state Commissioner of Police, Okon Effiong, has deployed a police tactical team to go in search of gunmen.
