JUST IN: Reign Of People Holding Lagos To Ransom End Today –Says Rhodes-Vivour
The Labour Party governorship candidate in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has said the reign of people allegedly holding the state to ransom will end after the outcome of today’s elections.
Gbadebo disclosed this after casting his vote at polling unit 045 Oshifila Anifowoshe, Ikeja.
This is just as he raised the alarm over alleged voter intimidation in the ongoing governorship and House of Assembly elections.
Gbadebo also vowed that the intimidation would be resisted.
He said there have been widespread reports of intimidation of voters in Kosofe, Iba in Ojo, VGC in Lekki, Computer Village in Ikeja, among others.
Rhodes-Vivour is challenging Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the Lagos State governorship office.
The election is expected to be keenly contested following the victory of the Labour Party in the state in the presidential election.
