Uduak Akpan, killer of the slain Akwa Ibom job seeker, Iniubong Umoren has been hanged to death
Naija News House recall that, Akwa Ibom State High Court sitting in Uyo, ,the state capital and presided over by Justice Bassey Nkanang found Akpan guilty on a two count charge of murder and r@pe while the father and sister were discharged and acquitted on the charge of accessory after the fact to murder.
According to information by Trendi NEWS24, Akpan who brutally murdered Iniubong Umoren, a job seeker hanged to death on August 7th, 2024.
Akpan’s case gained widespread attention after he lured Iniubong Umoren to his residence under the false pretense of offering her a job.
Upon her arrival, he r@ped, killed, and buried her in a shallow grave within his father’s compound.
The horrific crime sent shockwaves throughout Nigeria, leading to his arrest and a nine-month-long trial. In August 2022, Akpan was sentenced to death by hanging, a verdict that was welcomed by many who had followed the heartbreaking case.
Now, according to a recent update on Wikipedia, his execution was carried out one month ago, bringing an end to the legal chapter of this tragic case.
