This Is How Mohbad Was Bullied Before Death – Says Wife
Omowunmi Aloba, the widow of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has raised an alarm again, lamenting that she knows a lot about how her husband was bullied before he died.
She, however, added that she was helpless as her husband’s alleged killers had not given her breathing space to speak the truth about the late singer’s death.
Omowunmi, popularly known as Wunmi, told SaharaReporters that her husband’s killers whom she described as industry (music) gods, have been doing everything possible to kill her and her son, Liam, like they killed her husband.
She said that her husband’s killers silenced him by spreading rumours that he was a drug addict, adding that they messed the late singer up mentally, psychologically and physically to the extent that he was afraid to speak up publicly.
According to Wunmi, her late husband was made to feel inferior, assaulted publicly, and was subjected to living in fear.
She added that the last time his killers attacked him, she begged him to speak out but he felt powerless against the influence of the industry gods.
She said Mohbad lived in constant fear to the extent that he could not seek medical treatment after his injury, stressing that he avoided hospitals because he believed the medical system could be compromised and doctors bribed to harm him.
Wunmi said, “They silenced my husband by spreading rumours that he was on drugs, and now they have been targeting me by releasing a voice note I recorded a few years ago for medical purposes. They are attacking our only child by labelling him as illegitimate.
“My husband was messed up mentally, psychologically and physically. If he had continued speaking publicly about his challenges, perhaps he would still be alive today.
“I wish he had summoned the courage to come public as many times as he could, but he didn’t want anyone to see his vulnerability; he was a gentle and calm soul.
“Making a man feel inferior, making him live in fear, assaulting him publicly, amongst others is what they subjected my husband to. The last time they attacked him, I begged him to speak out, but he felt powerless against the influence of the industry gods.
“Mohbad would have sought medical treatment after his injury if he didn’t live in constant fear. He avoided hospitals because he believed the medical system could be compromised, and doctors bribed to harm him.
“I know a lot, but they won’t allow me to speak my truth. Your favourite fake activists and bloggers can continue defaming me, but I pray God rewards them for their actions. If they eventually kill me too, like they did Mohbad, just know I said it. It may not be direct! So many things have happened since I lost my husband, yet I can’t speak.
“I am helpless, but I know God will see me through this. I want the whole world to know that I tried to speak up, just as my husband always wanted to, but they bullied him into silence as they are currently doing to me.
