Police Launch Investigation Into MohBad’s Sudden Death
The Nigeria Police Force on Thursday said its operatives have begun to investigate the circumstances behind the sudden death of a famous afrobeat singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Alabama, popularly known as MohBad.
Naija News House had reported how the singer died on Tuesday at the age of 27 years.
He was a previous signee of Naira Marley records, and there had been a number of questions and claims as to what caused the youngster’s death.
A letter had surfaced online revealing that the late musician, MohBad, had petitioned the Nigeria Police Force regarding a threat to his life.
Reacting to this, the Nigerian police, in a statement on Thursday released via its verified social media platforms, claimed the Lagos Police Command was already working effortlessly to unravel the real cause of the singer’s death.

The police statement read, “We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and fans of late Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad, who tragically passed away recently. We understand the concerns surrounding his untimely demise and the various speculations that have arisen.
“The Nigeria Police Force is committed to a comprehensive investigation into this matter, as the Lagos State Commissioner of Police has been tasked to unravel the circumstances surrounding his death. Rest assured, updates will be provided as investigations unfold.
“We encourage family members or close associates with valuable information to approach the Lagos State Commissioner of Police to assist in this process.
“In the meantime, we kindly request that individuals refrain from making statements or engaging in activities that could jeopardise the ongoing investigation.
“Your trust and support are deeply valued,” the statement added.
