Nigeria’s Problems Need Spiritual Solution —Pastor Adeboye
Renowned cleric and General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has claimed that the current social economic problems in Nigeria are beyond human efforts.
Speaking at a recent gathering seen in a viral video, Pastor Adeboye emphasised that while political leaders are making efforts to address the nation’s challenges, divine intervention is crucial to solve the country’s suffering.
The cleric said the country’s problems have transcended human capacity to solve, necessitating urgent spiritual intervention.
The pastor said, “It is clearer to us that the problems our nation is facing are more than political. It is a problem that requires quite a bit of spiritual solution.
“We as a country are blessed with people, with great intelligence, we are blessed with all manners of resources, and we have so many problems, and it is not as if people in the authority are not trying their best, they are doing as much as humanly possible.”
Pastor Adeboye’s statement has sparked an outrage among Nigerian netizens on X (formerly Twitter).
For instance, Mazi Olisaemeka said the pastor was among those who protested against the former government of Goodluck Jonathan.
Olisaemeka said, “This man carried placards to protest during Jonathan’s administration. Today Nigeria’s problem is more than political lmao. I’m seriously holding myself from saying what’s on my mind this morning. People who know me know exactly what I think about this man and his church.”
However, Naija News House could not independently verify the allegation. It was also observed that many X users debunked it.
A user, Fola wrote: “Adeboye didn’t carry placards under Jonathan, it was under Buhari. A repeated lie will never become the truth! I don’t even agree with his position on many issues but I will always draw the line on false information!”
“I don’t understand how they reason o…what’s spiritual about our leaders being greedy and selfish? Our leaders are our major problems followed by our docile followership,” Jaywon added.
