The federal government of Nigeria has said February 9, 2021 will be the new deadline for all Nigerians to register and link their National Identification Number (NIN) to their SIM cards.

According to official Twitter handle of the National Identify management Commission (NIMC). The Commission had first given a January 19 deadline for everybody with National Identify Number and February 9 for people without National Identify Number (NIN).
The information on Twitter handle reads:
“All good people of Nigerian citizens and all legal residents are strictly asked to enroll for their national identification number and link them on or before February 9th, 2021.
Also remind Nigerians and resident that the Enrollment is totally free,.”
