In a speech, Mohammed Salihu Danlami, Speaker of the Arewa Youth Assembly, said that the Nigerian institution is non-negotiable and urged all stakeholders in the country to reject anything that would create confusion in the country.
Reveals Next Action “One Mr. Sunday Igboho released a press release in which he was quoted as saying enough is enough that the time for the Yoruba nation is now, and they can no longer tolerate and acknowledge the presence of Northerners,” he lamented. “This is despite the fact that the country’s constitution has made it crystal clear that any Nigerian can live in any part of the country, regardless of his or her religious and tribal placements,” the group said.
The Arewa Youth said that while it still maintains its status as a law-abiding civil youth group, it will not stand by and watch innocent Nigerians be intimidated by people like Mr. Sunday Igboho, who simply have no regard for the law.
“Since it is Igboho who wants his people to leave the north to form a Yoruba nation,” the group claims, “we will make it simple for him by asking Mr. Igboho to provide a means of transportation to transport his people to the southwest.”
It said that Mr. Igboho has repeatedly threatened the lives and property of northerners living in the southwest for no cause, and that “we have kept quiet for the sake of peace and reverence for our country’s laws,” but that “as Mr. Igboho rightly said, enough is enough.”

To avoid a repeat of the End-SARS protest, the group urged northern leaders, traditional rulers, and all security agencies to assist them in completing the mission of evacuating Yorubas from the 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja in a very peaceful manner, with no deaths, property damage, or hijacking by hoodlums.
