Peter Nwachukwu, the late gospel music star Osinachi’s husband, has a ‘secret’ wife outside of their tumultuous marriage. Nwachukwu is thought to have married the woman with whom he has a romantic relationship in a church, but kept the marriage a secret from Osinachi and her family.
The relationship, which began before Nwachukwu sought the late gospel singer’s hand in marriage, is said to have ended after the woman bore him a child.

Their mother had suspicions that their father was having a secret affair, but she couldn’t find any concrete evidence, according to the child, whose name has been withheld for unknown reasons.
“One day, my father was away and forgot to lock up his room,” the child said, describing how he discovered the photo album that revealed Mr. Nwachukwu’s secret. So I walked in, and a voice inside told me to look around.
Then I noticed the album and opened it out of curiosity to see daddy’s old photographs. I could tell from the photos that my father had led a shady life.
“So I put the album away where daddy had hidden it.” I couldn’t tell mummy or anyone else because I was afraid that if daddy found out about the photos, he’d kill me. Mummy once looked in daddy’s room for items like this (album), but she couldn’t find anything.”
Meanwhile, the already distraught relatives of the late gospel singer were shocked to learn that Mr. Peter Nwachukwu had previously married another woman in a church long before coming for Osinachi’s hand in marriage about ten years ago.
“We never knew Nwachukwu was previously married to another woman,” a family source told Vanguard. We might not have allowed Osinachi to marry him if we had known about it before now. Osinachi must have been in a lot of pain, which she sadly kept hidden from us.”
It will be recalled that Osinachi, 42, died last Friday at the National Hospital in Abuja after spending days there. Osinachi, who worked as a lead singer at the Dunamis International Headquarters in Abuja, was accused by coworkers of being beaten to death by her husband, Peter Nwachukwu.
