Pastors Don’t Forgive Easily, Says Apostle Udofia
… Reveals Four Types of Love
Apostle Imo Okon Udofia of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, FCT Field, has called on leaders to unite in love.
Pastor Udofia preached at the opening of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, FCT Field convention on Wednesday. His message focused on “Understanding the Mystery of God’s Love” (1 Corinthians 13:1-3; 1 John 4:7-11).
He emphasized that love is supremely profitable. “Lack of love makes people ki|| each other,” he said. “Love led Jesus to die on the cross for us. Lack of love led Cain to ki|| his brother Jacob.”
Pastor Udofia noted that hatred fills churches due to leaders’ and members’ lack of love.
Pastor Udofia stated that pastors find it challenging to forgive when offended. He urged everyone to become like newborn babies to make heaven. “Love is a strong tower that nobody can break,” he said.
“Wealth and charitable works are meaningless without genuine love,” Pastor Udofia emphasized. “Even living and dying in church without love profits nothing. Fake love hinders church growth.”
Today, churches, countries, and leaders fight due to lack of love. Pastor Udofia calls on global leaders and individuals to prioritize love.
Four Types of Love Discussed by Pastor Udofia
1. Eros Love (Sexual Love)
2. Storge Love (Family Love)
3. Phileo Love (Brotherly Love)
4. Agape Love (God’s Love)
According to Udofia, love motivated Jesus to visit Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-10), despite criticism.
Even in churches, leaders pretend to love each other with fake love, it is time to go back and love each other.
Pastor Udofia was ordained as an Apostle in 2023 and transferred to Nyanya Area. He serves as the 7th Nyanya Area Superintendent.
The Apostolic Church Nigeria, FCT Field’s 21st annual convention began on November 13 and concludes on November 17, 2024, at the Field headquarters in Dakibu, Jabi, Abuja.
