Senator Bassey Lauds Gov Eno, Stakeholders For Successful PDP Ward Congress
In line with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) directives, Senator Aniekan Bassey of the Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District has expressed his gratitude to all party members for the successful 2024 Ward Congress in Uruan local government and Akwa Ibom state at large, NNH reports.
Senator who spoke with Journalists on Saturday, said the 2024 Ward Congress of the Party was marked by peaceful proceedings and high voter turnout.
Senator Bassey, who supervised the 2024 exercise on Saturday across Uruan Local Government Area, said it earned widespread commendation.
Senator Bassey commended the meticulous planning and smooth conduct of the congress, attributing its success to the dedication of party members and the unwavering support from the state leadership.
In his remarks, he lauded Governor Umo Eno for his approval and support, which he noted were crucial in facilitating a seamless electoral process.
“Governor Umo Eno’s commitment to ensuring democratic principles and fair play within the party remains a significant factor in the positive outcome of the congress. The Governor’s backing underscored his dedication to fostering robust political engagement and transparent elections in Akwa Ibom State,” he said.
He further maintained that the successful conduct of the Ward Congress in Uruan sets a positive precedent for future electoral activities within the local government area, reinforcing the PDP’s reputation for upholding democratic values and effective governance.
