Policemen Caught In Video Brutalising Motorist Over N100 Bribe
The Nigeria Police Force has directed the Enugu State Police Command to produce six policemen who were involved in the brutal assault on a driver over non-payment of N100 bribe.
The Force Police Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, gave the directive while reacting to a video showing the despicable and unprofessional conduct of the policemen.
He described the brutal assault on the driver as “unacceptable and disgraceful.”
In the video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @spoiltkid, it showed one policeman at a checkpoint hitting the driver on his back of his head.
As if this was not enough, while the driver appeared to be going to his vehicle which was parked at the checkpoint, the same policeman rushed at him, and immediately started kicking him.
When the driver turned and appeared to have questioned why the unprovoked assault on him, four policemen immediately started brutalising him, while the students he was carrying, who also made the video started shouting, in disapproval of the police action.
After the assault, the policemen dragged the driver to their office located along the road, where learned the policemen further brutalised and beat him to a state of unconsciousness.
Although, Naija News House could not independently ascertain the location where the incident happened in Enugu, @spoiltkid disclosed that the driver was with the Christian Girls in training and was brutalised because of N100 bribe.

Reacting to the video, the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, condemned the assault.
He said, “This is not acceptable. @Enugu_PoliceNg @PoliceNG_CRU @PoliceNG produce these men immediately for necessary action. Thanks.”
