Protesters Block Road, Hold Prayer Service For Divine Intervention
Protesters in Jos, Plateau State’s capital, on Sunday, blocked Old Airport Roundabout Road to hold a church service as part of the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protest, which began on Thursday.
According to The PUNCH, the service was attended by a large number of Christian and Muslim leaders, as well as former Minister of Sports Solomon Dalung.
Protesters, waving Nigerian flags, obstructed the Old Airport Roundabout, forcing drivers to use alternative routes.
Participants stressed the church service’s significance, hoping for divine intervention to address Nigeria’s governance issues.
Philip Madaki, who arrived at 7:30 am for the service, stated, “We believe God has not abandoned Nigeria.
“By adding a church service to our protest, we seek divine influence on our leaders to improve the current dire situation caused by poor governance and harsh policies.”
