Reduce the intake of crayfish, doctor reveals two things it does to people’s health. According to reports, it has been alleged that a neuroscientist and a researcher in neurocardiology, Professor Chidi Njemanze has revealed what the excessive consumption of crayfish does to people’s mental health.
According to the information he shared, the doctor made it known that mental ill health conditions are debilitating, which means that they don’t allow people function, and one of the main causes of this is the food people eat.
He said that most people who do eat crayfish in large quantity do eat it because of the taste and because people do not want to use bouillon cubes or any of those additives to cook their meals and instead, they will decide to cook with crayfish in large quantities, which is dangerous to the health.

Professor Chidi made it known that there is an insulin-like protein called crayfish binding protein, which makes people’s blood to clot for no reason and this lead to heart attack or stroke.
He said when there’s high intake of crayfish, the insulin-like protein travels to the kidney and block the blood vessels there, which will later cause high blood pressure.
Giving an example, he said in Bayelsa State and Rivers State, there a lot of young boys and girls with high blood pressure and that, their life expectancy is short, as he said this is so because they do eat seafoods a lot.
