2025 Budget: Rep. Isiaka Highlights Economic Progress
Member representing Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency, Rep. Ibrahim Ayokunle Isiaka, has called on Nigerians to continue supporting President Bola Tinubu’s transformative economic agenda.
In an interview with members of the National Assembly New Media Forum, Rep. Isiaka emphasized the significant progress made in the country’s economic journey. He urged citizens to stay committed as the government works toward long-term prosperity, saying, “We have made substantial progress, and we must keep moving forward to reach the ultimate goal.”
The lawmaker highlighted achievements such as GDP growth, inflation reduction, and improved debt repayment in recent years. Rep. Isiaka noted the country’s foreign reserves, which have grown to $42 billion in just 18 months. “Our external reserves have been restored to $42 billion, a true testament to our steady growth,” he stated. He expressed confidence that this progress would continue under the current administration’s leadership.
Isiaka further assured Nigerians that the government is committed to managing resources transparently. The National Assembly will ensure the government is held accountable, he said, especially with the ongoing 2023 and 2024 budgets. He emphasized that all promised projects would be completed, benefiting the people. “We will ensure that the promises made are kept, and Nigerians will feel the impact,” he affirmed.
He also addressed the 2025 budget, explaining its role in advancing the nation’s development goals. Rep. Isiaka noted the importance of security improvements and sustainable economic policies in the upcoming fiscal year. The lawmaker reiterated that every effort is being made to achieve prosperity for all Nigerians.
Rep. Isiaka disclosed this in an interview with members of the National Assembly New Media Forum at the end of the 2025 budget presentation by President Bola Tinubu. He encouraged all Nigerians to stay focused and united in support of the government’s agenda.
