Police Officers Lands In Big Trouble For Escorting SUG President
The Nigeria Police Force Headquarters, Abuja, has vowed to discipline the armed police officers caught in a viral video escorting the Adamawa State University Students’ Union Government president.
It was on Tuesday reported that some Nigerians on X (formerly Twitter) lambasted the Nigeria Police Force after a video of the armed police officers escorting the young man identified as the newly elected President of the Adamawa State University Students’ Union Government, surfaced on the internet.
The video posted on X by The Nation showed the arrival of the said students’ union leader at a convention with two armed policemen walking beside his car while other students hailed and cheered him, while a student also opened the door for the SUG president after the car came to a halt.
Reacting to the video of the police officers, the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on Wednesday said that the policemen had been identified and had been ordered to report at the Force Headquarters for further actions.
The force spokesperson who made this known on X (formerly Twitter), vowed that there is no room for indecency, complacency and unethical conducts in the Nigeria Police Force.
He wrote, “These policemen have been identified. They are to report to the FHQ for further actions. There is no room for indecency, complacency, and unethical conducts.”
