We Can Never Summon Wike; PDP Disciplinary Committee Makes U-turn
Senator Olaka Nwogu, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Disciplinary Committee, has denied reports claiming that the party had summoned FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, over alleged anti-party activities and his ongoing feud with Rivers Governor, Siminialayi Fubara.
Nwogu clarified that the committee has not even convened to discuss any matters related to Wike.
Speaking on the issue, Nwogu, a former senator representing Rivers South East Senatorial District, attributed the misinformation to individuals with personal agendas.
“I am a member of the disciplinary committee of the party. I was disturbed when the report came that Nyesom Wike had been summoned at a time when the disciplinary committee has not even met to consider any of these things,” he explained.
He also emphasized that various false claims had been circulating about the committee’s work.
Nwogu assured the public that the committee is still in the process of organizing itself to effectively address its duties and responsibilities.
