Few Days After Sister’s Death Driver Of Taraba Gov’s Mother Dies
Tragedy has again struck the family of Taraba State governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, as the driver of the governor’s mother reportedly slumped and died upon hearing the news of the death of the governor’s sister, Atsi Kefas, who was a victim of accidental police gunfire.
It was gathered that the incident occurred on Tuesday at T.Y. Danjuma House in Abuja.
A source present at the scene said the driver, identified simply as Abraham, collapsed after shouting upon receiving the tragic news.
“I was in the lodge when it happened. He just slumped and died after hearing about the death of the governor’s sister,” the source said.
The source revealed that Abraham, an indigene of Wukari, the governor’s hometown, had driven the vehicle in which Atsi was struck by a bullet during an accidental discharge along the Wukari-Kente route on December 5, 2024.
Abraham had been serving as a driver in the convoy of the governor’s wife since Kefas assumed office in 2023.
