The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has called on Imo State residents to march out and stop Governor Hope Uzodinma from killing harmless youths in the state.
IPOB accused the governor of creating another Eastern Security Network (ESN) and arming them to work with security agents to kill youths.
ESN is the security wing of IPOB.
The group further accused Uzodinma of banning traditional rulers in the state from gathering.
The group revealed this in a statement by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful on Thursday.
Uzodinma Create Fake Security Outfit
The statement read, “The global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by our great leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu condemns the continuous murder of our people recently in Okwudo Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State, especially the two traditional rulers in this community because Hope Uzodinma warned Imo State traditional rulers not hold a meeting of any kind in the state.
“Hope Uzodinma has been using the military to eliminate our innocent youths claiming he is killing IPOB members. Gov. Hope Uzodinma created fake ESN to kill those people who are not in support of killings and slaughtering going on in Imo State since the beginning of this year.
“It is quite appalling that the supposed governor of Imo State would create a group of hoodlums to murder his citizens. IPOB is calling elders, religious leaders, women groups and businessmen and women in the state of Imo to come out stop this vampire Fulani plant to fulfil their hatchet job for them.
“Every Imo State son, daughter and student should stop Uzodinma before he finishes everybody in Imo State. Hope Uzodinma stopped traditional rulers from gathering for any meeting or they will have themselves to blame if they gather for any meeting anywhere in the state.
“It’s unfortunate that uniformed men and gullible citizens in Imo state will tomorrow begin to blame these killings on IPOB. IPOB has no issue with these dead Ezes because they are the custodians of our land and anybody who is linking these killings perpetrated in Imo State by Hope Uzodinma boys whom he organised to deal with his political opponents in Imo State (sic).
“IPOB is not unknown gunmen or terrorists and bandits rampaging in the North. We beg Hope Uzodinma to allow our people because we don’t know Fulani people know him and planted him in Imo State.”
