2021 ARMED FORCE REMEMBRANCE DAY: A’Ibom Council Boss joins other Nigerians in celebrating country’s fallen heroes
As Nigeria celebrates the 2021 Armed Forces Remembrance day, Uruan Local government Council Chairman, Surv. Iniobong Ekpenyong also joined other Nigerians in commemorating with the country’s fallen heroes at Uruan council headquarters Idu local Area in Akwa ibom State.
Ekpeyong, whose community tagged as “working Boss”, for his immediate swing to action was sworn in as council chairman promises to support serving soldiers to boost their morale & give them a sense of belonging.
He attained the name given by the community for his quick provision of electricity, repairs of roads in many villages in the local government in his first two months in office. Naija News House Reports
According to Ekpeyong, he also promised massive employment opportunities in the community.
To mark the 2021 Armed Forces Remembrance day, the wife of the chairman, Mrs Ndifreke Iniobong, vice chairman, Hon Mrs Uduak Udoenang, leader of the Uruan 7th legislative council, Hon Sunday Bassey, Chairman, Nigerian Legio Uruan Area Council, Mayor (Rtd) Pius Ekpenyong, Secretary of the council, Mr Inyang Atakpo, Head of Local Government service, Mrs Eno Akpa, Directors, councilors, Royal fathers, Service Chief, PDP chapter Chairman, Hon Sabestian Nkanga , Zonal leaders, Enger. J.B Effiong Obong, Kingsley Orok, ward leaders, former Chairman Uruan LGA, Hon Eventus Edem, Former AKHA, Obong Asuquo Nyong Essien, S.A on Project monitoring, Mr Ifiok Akpabio, Okokon Ekpenyong, former Political office holders, among others graced the occasion.
