The governing council of University of Calabar (Uncial) has asked all returning students to resume immediately with some devices like laptops, iPads and smartphones as the school has set in motion plans to have some classes online.
This statement was released and signed by the Registrar, Mr Gabriel Egbe, University of Calabar.
According to the statement, the school gates will be opened from 5th February 2021 for the students to resume their academic activities for the year and also stated the wearing of a nose mask is compulsory for both students and staff prevention and protection.
We must follow all guidelines released by the federal government and State government, so note that no face masks, no entry
The statement release said ; “The Governing council of the University of Calabar wishes to remind all students that :
All Arrangements have been set in place for virtual lecturing and learning using online support method. Our ICT Unit has prepared and developed a robust E-learning platform to ensure seamless lecturing, especially for some of the classes that we will have the much number of students. So all Students are expected to come along with their devices like laptops, iPad, Android, smartphones and other electronic devices that will help them to function effectively in this new method, we also advised all Students to key into this method without playing.
Recall that, federal government gave Approval for all Schools to resume, which some of Schools were resumed since last Monday 18 January 2021 and others resumed today Monday, 25 January 2021, while others are still prepare to resume the month.
Naija News House learned that, University of Uyo in Akwa ibom has resumed since 18 January, 2021, and opened School portal for examination and semester registration, also issued dates for examination to start, which is February, 2021.
