2025 Budget: Hon Umoh Hails Tinubu, Urges MDAs To Corporate With Parliament For Expeditious Passage
Rep Patrick Umoh, Honourable member representing Ikot Ekpene/Essien Udim/Obot Akara Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the presentation of the 2025 budget proposal, saying that the budget was in line with the renew hope agenda of Mr. President.
The House Committee chairman on health institutions who spoke with journalists on Wednesday shortly after the presentation of the budget proposal described the 2025 budget proposal as presented by President Tinubu as an ‘ambitious budgetary proposal’.
He said, the 2025 Appropriation Bill as presented by President will keep afloat our national lives, such as; national and social security, social economy reforms among others.
“I must commend President Bola Tinubu for this courage to come up with this budget of national consolidation. Yes, it is in line with the renewed hope agenda.” He said, “This budget will consolidate on the budget performance index of 2024.”
Hon Umoh, who expressed his excitement over the presentation of the budget by Mr President, also called on Ministries and Government agencies to cooperate with the parliament to bring the budget to fruition where Nigerians can reap the dividends of democracy as promised by President Tinubu.
However, the lawmaker employed Nigerians to be patient with Tinubu, saying that he is just eighteen months in office and has achieved thus far. Adding that all hands must be on deck for the development of the country.
He said, “I know there is pressure on our economy but I am very happy with the steps President Bola Tinubu is taking to address issues, he is doing his very best and I. An assure all Nigerians that things will get better with Tinubu on the saddle.”
