Hon. Ekpenyong Hosts CP Eribo On Familiarization Tour

In continuation of the familiarization tour of the Akwa Ibom commissioner of police to Local Governments, the Chairman of Uruan Local Government Area, Hon Surv. Iniobong Ekpenyong, Tuesday, December 17, 2024, hosted CP Joseph Eribo.

The brief reception took place at the Nwaniba Divisional Police quarters and had stakeholders and eminent personalities interact with the Akwa Ibom state commissioner of Police.

Hon. Ekpenyong in his welcome remarks appreciated CP Eribo on his achievement so far in the state; most especially in combating crime within Akwa Ibom territory through the effort and the support of the governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno.

He reiterated the administrative commitment in supporting the work of the police, in providing the needed humanly possible assistance that will enable all the divisions to function effectively.

The Council Chairman intimated CP Eribo on the steps taken in combating crime in Idu, and environs to safeguard citizens during this ember period. He frowned at youths who are bent on vandalizing government property in the Local Government; cautioning them to desist forthwith as anyone caught would be made to face the full wrath of the law.

The event had in attendance, the vice Chairman, Uruan LG, Hon. Grace Edem, entourage of the CP, the Area Commander (Itu/Ibiono), Area command, DPOs in Uruan, representatives from the immigration service, DSS, and civil defense, members of PCRC, village heads, youth leaders, women leaders, senior citizens, among others.
