A’ibom LG POLL: Emulate The ARISE Agenda; Senator Bassey Tells PDP Candidates
The Senator representing Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District, Aniekan Bassey has urged Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates in Uruan Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom state to emulate Governor Umo Eno’s ARISE Agenda to promote the prosperity of the area.
Senator Bassey made the call at St. Jerome Primary School, Nung Ikono Ufok, during the Grand finale Ward Tour of the INIABASI2024 Campaign organization.
According to senator Bassey, “We are not here in Southern Uruan Ward-5 to campaign but to thank you for giving us Hon. Iniobong Ekpenyong . He is a true son of the soil, and I am confident that he will not let us down. I trust he will replicate the ARISE Agenda, as championed by Governor Umo Eno, to bring prosperity to Uruan LGA and its people,” he said.
Senator Bassey also commended Governor Umo Eno for his impactful projects in Uruan, including the Shelter of Hope Initiative, educational investments, and infrastructural and economic development. He noted that these efforts have strengthened the PDP’s position ahead of the October 5th Chairmanship and Councillorship elections.
Presenting the candidates to party members, Mr. Kufre Udobang expressed gratitude for the large turnout and praised the political leader of Uruan, Senator Bassey, for fostering peace and progress in the area, which he described as key to securing victory in the upcoming elections.
