The Caps Fit Better; Senator Bassey Congratulates Akpabio, Barau On Conferment Of National Awards
The Senator representing Akwa Ibom North-east Senatorial District, Aniekan Bassey has congratulated the Senate president, senator Goodwill Obot Akpabio on the conferment of Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Bassey described the honour as well deserved, said I sincerely celebrate the conferment of the national Honours on you by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The caps fit better.
The Senator Bassey also said that the Senate president has displayed exemplary leadership qualities in the Senate by holding all members together regardless of tribe or party affiliation.
He also felicitated with president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Akwa Ibom state governor, pastor Umo Eno and Nigerians in general on Nigeria ‘s sixty fourth independence anniversary.
The Senator also urged Nigerians to be patient with the current administration as it continues to implement measures aimed at improving the lives of the citizens.
He prayed that God continues to sustain Nigeria and Nigerians.
“Happy Independence Day Nigeria,” he stated.
In the same veins, Senator Bassey also congratulates the Deputy Senate president, Senator Barau I. Jibrin on the conferment of the award of Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR).
He noted that the Deputy Senate president has been a great ally of the Senate president, assisting in piloting the affairs of the Senate.
