A’Ibom Polls: Ekpenyong Receives Certificate Of Return As Uruan LG Chairman Elect
The newly elected chairman of Uruan Local Government Area, Hon. Surv. Iniobong Ekpenyong and his vice, Mrs. Grace Edem, have received certificates of return from the Akwa Ibom State Electoral Commission, AKISIEC on Sunday.
Elder Aniedi Ikoiwak, the Commission’s Executive Chairman, presented the certificates of return at AKISIEC’s headquarters at Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo.
However, Following the successful conclusion of the election of officers into the Executive and Legislative arms of the 31 Local Government Areas of the State, His Excellency, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno will swear-in the Chairmen-elect and their Vice on Monday, 7th October, 2024 by 8 a.m. at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Uyo.
The release was signed by Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah.
Naija News House gathered that Ekpenyong of the PDP scored a total of 37,329 vote to defeat his APC counterpart who scored a total of 1218 vote.
