BREAKING: Tinubu Sends Congratulatory Message To Hilda Baci On Guinness World Record For Marathon Cooking, Tells Her What To Do Next
The ‘President-elect’, Bola Tinubu, has felicitated with the Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci, on her current Guinness World Record for marathon cooking.
Naija News House earlier reported that Hilda had on Monday morning broken the current Guinness World Record for the “longest cooking marathon by an individual” after clocking in at 87 hours and 50 minutes.
Hilda, the Nigerian Jollof Queen, started the competition on Thursday at 4 p.m. by turning on her cooker, and she beat the current world record holder on Monday morning.
If she is certified by Guinness World Records, she will top the current world record holder, Lata Tondon, an Indian chef who achieved the feat in 2019 with 87 hours 45 minutes of record-breaking uninterrupted cooking.
Baci’s cooking marathon is currently underway in Lekki, Lagos State, at Amore Gardens, where she intends to set a new record of 96 hours.
Congratulating the Akwa Ibom State-born chef, Tinubu wrote on his Twitter page, “I congratulate Hilda Effiong Bassey on her record-breaking achievement.
“It was a remarkable display of the Nigerian can-do attitude and the spirit of excellence that lies within. We are all deeply proud of her.”
