Foreign Affairs Minister Tuggar Congratulates Dr. Khalilur Rahman On His Appointment As Bangladesh’s Minister Of Foreign Affairs

The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, OON, has extended his warmest congratulations to His Excellency Dr. Khalilur Rahman on his appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

Nigeria and Bangladesh have long enjoyed cordial and brotherly relations, fostered through mutual respect, shared Commonwealth values, and a common commitment to international peace, sustainable development, and the reform of global governance structures. We are confident that under Dr. Rahman’s distinguished leadership, the bonds of friendship and cooperation between our two nations will be further strengthened and expanded.

The Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs looks forward to working closely with the new Foreign Minister to enhance bilateral engagements in areas of mutual interest, including trade and investment, technology, and capacity building.

We are optimistic that his tenure will usher in a new era of robust partnership between Nigeria and Bangladesh. We wish Dr. Rahman success in his new and significant role.
