Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has expressed deep shock over the death of Abdulraheem Owokoniran, saying his life was cut short in its prime.
Naija News House reports that Owokoniran, who contested for the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the last primary of the party for the Surulere Federal Constituency I Bye-election in Lagos, reportedly died in the United Kingdom at the weekend.
Reacting to the death in a post on her verified X handle, on Saturday, the First Lady described the deceased as a committed and dedicated young man.
“It was shocking to receive the news of the demise of Abdulraheem Owokoniran.
” Raheem was a dedicated and committed young man whose life was cut short in his prime.
” I pray God Almighty comfort his wife, children, entire family, friends, and the political community in Surulere, and Lagos State in general.
“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest. May his gentle soul rest in peace.”
It was shocking to receive the news of the demise of Abdulraheem Owokoniran.

Recall that the late Owokoniran once served as aide to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
He was also a former special assistant to the First Lady .
