VIDEO: ‘I’m Tired, I Can’t Take It Anymore’ – Widow With Children Laments Hunger, Hardship Under Tinubu, Reveals Next Action
A widow, seen sobbing in a video, has made an emotional appeal to President Bola Tinubu, pleading for an end to the worsening hardship in Nigeria.
The woman, who is only identified as a widow, speaks with desperation about the daily struggles she, and many others in the country, face.
“This is a plea to our president, Bola Tinubu, the hardship is stalling on us, most especially widows like me. I’m a widow with two children who are toddlers. I became a widow, your excellency (Tinubu) sir, because of the insecurity of Nigeria. My late husband was kidnapped in 2022 and was killed despite paying ransom,” she says, lamenting her frustration with the conditions under which many Nigerians live.
“Dear President Tinubu, please, I’m begging, the hardship is too much, the hardship is stalling on us. Everything is on the hike. Many young widows are suffering today. Please have mercy on us.”
Her plea intensifies as she reveals the toll insecurity has taken on her family.
“My children are fatherless because of insecurity and I’m still working hard and pushing but at this point I’m fed up, I’m tired, I can’t take it any longer,” she says.
She continues, “Your excellency (Tinubu) sir, I’m a law abiding and hardworking and despite the issue of insecurity in Nigeria made me a young widow and made my twins fatherless I still keep pushing. I still stay and live in Nigeria.”
“Dear Tinubu, I want you to have mercy on us, we are tired, the hardship is stalling on us. Before many of us begin to pkai (die) one by one. Have mercy on us, the hardship is too much. I’m educated,” she adds.
