Man Confesses To Killing Ex-Girlfriend, Dumping Her Body In A Bag After She Ended Their Relationship
Residents of Uga in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State have been left shocked following the discovery of the body of a young woman, Umuora Mmesoma, inside a bag, days after she was reported missing.
A young man identified as Emmanuel, reportedly from Ebonyi State, has allegedly confessed to killing Mmesoma after she ended their romantic relationship.
Naija News House reported that Mmesoma was declared missing on Friday, October 16, 2026, while her body was discovered inside a bag in Uga on Friday, October 23.
A video that has gone viral on social media captures security operatives questioning the suspect after his arrest.
During the interrogation, the suspect allegedly admitted responsibility for the killing, stating that he acted out of anger over the breakup.
“I killed her because she broke up with me. I killed her in my house in Uga, put her inside a bag and dumped her somewhere,” he reportedly confessed.
The disturbing development has sparked condemnation across the community and on social media, with concerned Nigerians demanding justice for Mmesoma and urging the relevant authorities to ensure that the case is thoroughly investigated.
As of the time this report was filed, the Anambra State Police Command had yet to issue a response to inquiries regarding the incident. The command’s Public Relations Officer did not respond to a message sent to him seeking comments.
