BREAKING: Tinubu Embarks on Spiritual Journey to Saudi Arabia

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to travel to Makkah, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday to perform the Umrah pilgrimage and pray for Nigeria’s peace, unity and development.

The planned trip was disclosed by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement released on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
Onanuga explained that the pilgrimage would offer the President an opportunity for spiritual reflection and prayers for the country’s continued stability and progress.
While in the holy city of Makkah, Tinubu will undertake the religious rites associated with Umrah and seek Allah’s guidance and blessings for Nigeria and its people.
However, before leaving Abuja, the President is expected to commission equipment acquired by the Nigerian Air Force at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
Tinubu is expected to return to the country next week following the completion of his religious journey.
