VIDEO: ‘Unknown Gunmen’ Capture Yoruba Man, Threaten To Kill Him For Allegedly Spying On Them

Unknown gunmen terrorising the Southeast region of Nigeria have captured a Yoruba man who identified himself as Abioye Oladeji, for allegedly spying on them.

The unknown gunmen in a video which has gone viral on the internet threatened to kill the victim after confirming that they set a driver they captured alongside Oladeji free because the driver was an Igbo man.

In the video, Oladeji said that his manager he simply identified as Mr. Segun sent him to check his vehicle at an undisclosed location. However, the faceless gunmen claimed that they had an agreement with the people who sent Oladeji but they allegedly broke the agreement.

Sitting on the ground in a pair of boxers with some bruises on his body, while responding to every question from the gunmen, the victim said, “I am Abioye Oladeji. My manager, Mr. Segun, sent me from Enugu. He said he was in touch with one of his vehicles, that he saw where the vehicle was, I should go and help him check it. They tracked the vehicle and he sent the address to me.”

One of the captors who confirmed in the video that they were ‘unknown gunmen’ operating in Southeast Nigeria said, “Listen to what I’m telling you all now, you people think that we, unknown gunmen are playing. Look at what you have caused your brother.

“This your brother, he has become our own. Unknown gunmen have taken possession of him. You think we are playing. We discussed about something and you sent someone to track us right? He saw where your vehicle was and sent a spy to find out where we are.

“Just forget about this your brother. You will see that we are not playing. Whatever that your driver we held before told you, believe it because it is true. We allowed the driver to go because he is an Igbo man. But this one is Yoruba. He is (President Bola) Tinubu’s people.”

The captors asked the victim, “Tinubu is your brother right,” to which the victim who looked fearful, replied, “Tinubu is Yoruba, I am Yoruba. He is my brother.”
