If I Reveal Anything Here, Let Me Die – VeryDarkMan Tells Reps Over Bobrisky’s Absence
Social media influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, who appeared before the House of Representatives today, regarding bribery allegations against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), declined to testify.
His refusal stems from crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky’s absence from the probe.
VeryDarkMan had released an audio where Bobrisky, purportedly claimed he bribed officials of the EFCC with N15 million in exchange for dropping money laundering charges against him.
In the audio, Bobrisky also claimed he avoided serving his six-month jail sentence at Kirikiri Prison in Lagos.
Following this, the House of Representatives summoned VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky, and EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede.
Appearing before the lawmakers on Monday, VeryDarkMan said: “I don’t know why I will be here and the person who made these allegations is not here.
“Bobrisky said in the voice note that there is a godfather. Maybe the godfather told him not to come. He has disrespected this committee by not coming here.
“You are already threatening me with arrest. If you detain me, I will stay in the cell. If Bobrisky is not here, I will not say anything. If I say anything, let me die.”
Thereafter, the members of the committee urged the social media influencer to speak on the allegations, saying Bobrisky would similarly face the panel.
VeryDarkMan’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, expressed readiness to present additional evidence.
He said the additional evidence was yet to be released online.
“VeryDarkMan has not said he won’t talk because we came prepared with additional evidence that are not online. He is not saying he won’t assist the committee; but because that person who should be here is not, he won’t talk directly but through his counsel,” Adeyanju said.
