BREAKING: Many Feared Dead In Calabar-Itu Highway Terrible Accident

A tragic accident involving a 40-foot container and a 16-seater passenger bus has claimed the lives of all passengers on board along the Calabar-Itu highway.

The incident occurred when the container truck veered off its lane and fell onto the oncoming bus heading towards Calabar. Eyewitnesses attribute the cause of the accident to the poor condition of the road, which has long been a source of concern for commuters and residents in the area.

Emergency responders confirmed that 16 bodies were recovered from the scene and have been taken to a nearby mortuary.

The identity of the victims is yet to be officially released, as authorities work to contact their families.

The accident has sparked fresh calls for urgent intervention on the Calabar-Itu road, which is widely regarded as one of the most dilapidated highways in the region.
