BREAKING: Wike, El-Rufai In Closed-door Meeting With Tinubu
Former Governors Nyesom Wike (Rivers) and Mallam Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna) are meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
President Tinubu’s cabinet choices, the former governors, were vetted by the Senate. While Wike’s candidacy cleared the Senate screening process, el-Rufai’s nomination is still to be approved.
While Wike came around 1:40 pm, El-Rufai arrived around 2 pm.
Sources at the Presidential Villa hinted that efforts are being made to ensure that the Senate confirms Mallam El-Rufai.
