OPEN LETTER: Rep. Jimbo Blasts Emmanuel Ibok, Labels Him As ‘Food Is Ready’ Politician
RESPONSE TO THE OPEN LETTER DIATRIBE FROM EMMANUEL IBOK AGAINST HON. CLEMENT JIMBO
Our attention has been drawn to an open letter by an inconsistent Emmanuel Ibok, a serial defector and food is ready politician who, in the said letter, postulated that the revered Hon. Clement Jimbo is an infant politician and lacks political maturity. What an insult meted on a sitting Federal Lawmaker whose pedigree in the floor of the House has distinguished him from bench warmer members who cannot sponsor bills, move or second motions during plenary.

Ordinarily, it is customary for respect to be given to whom respect is due. Hon Clement Jimbo is the highest political office holder in Abak which traditionally confers on him, the rank of the political leader in the extraction(Abak). So, for our great party in a ward to organize a function and a certain voice calls for the excision of the photograph of a reputable man like Hon Jimbo from the poster, spells sheer disregard. No one from the realist school of thought would think such disregard would not hurt Hon Jimbo or any other highly place public office holder.
Hon Jimbo and Hon Nkereuwem Ebong might have diverse political interest as elders and politicians, but that does not give Emmanuel Ibok the temerity to hide under shadow to insult a man who bought nomination form at the cost of (#10,000,000)ten million naira, campaigned and won election during the 2023 general elections as a Member of National Assembly which is no mean feat for many in the country.
When elders are disagreeing to agree, someone like Emmanuel Ibok has no right to join issues with them. Lobbying for an appointment as Media Aide in the office of the Commissioner representing Akwa Ibom State in South South Development Commission, should not give Emmanuel Ibok the audacity to insult a man whom God has blessed with such a magnifying office in which Emmanuel Ibok may not get to his level in years to come except through the help of God.
On the second term ambition of Honourable Clement Jimbo, come 2027, we categorically state that Emmanuel Ibok who supported third term in 2019 is not God to insinuate that the Federal Lawmaker’s ambition is dead on arrival and to remind him that just as he did not contribute to the winning of the Federal Lawmaker in 2023 as a Member of YPP, that he may do same come 2027, as that will not stop his landslide winning.
While cautioning the appointment seeking Emmanuel Ibok, to desist from insulting a man that has used his position to make tremendous impacts on his constituents in the past two years at National Assembly, we reiterate that we will not condone any form of name calling and insults on the affable Federal Lawmaker.
Let it be known that seeking for second term is not a crime, a lawmaker has no limited tenure to represent his people.
