₦50,000 FG Relief: Moniepoint Customers Can Now Check Beneficiary Status With USSD Code

Customers of Moniepoint Microfinance Bank can now check whether they have been selected to receive the Federal Government’s ₦50,000 emergency relief support by dialling a designated USSD code.

The bank announced on Wednesday that eligible customers should dial 557327# from their registered phone numbers and follow the instructions to check their status under the National Emergency Relief and Stabilisation Intervention (NERSI).
Moniepoint explained that customers whose names appear among the beneficiaries would be provided with further instructions on how to accept the support and receive the funds directly into their accounts without paying any additional charges.
The Federal Government introduced the intervention through the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction to provide direct financial assistance to vulnerable Nigerians amid the country’s economic difficulties.
Naija News House had reported on Tuesday that the Federal Government had commenced the payment of the ₦50,000 support to eligible Nigerians.
Moniepoint confirmed that it was one of the payment service providers selected to facilitate the disbursement of the intervention.
The bank, however, cautioned that eligibility was determined by the Federal Government through established selection and verification procedures, including the use of verified national identity records and the National Social Register.
It also disclosed that the disbursement would take place in phases nationwide, warning that not every customer would be selected or receive the payment at the same time.
Moniepoint’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Babatunde Olofin, said the bank was committed to making the government support accessible to qualified customers through its financial technology infrastructure.
He advised customers to rely exclusively on the bank’s official USSD channel when checking their eligibility or accessing the funds.
According to the bank, beneficiaries are not required to make any payment, submit additional documentation or involve third parties to receive the support.
Customers with questions or complaints were advised to contact Moniepoint’s customer service department or the NERSI helpdesk.
The bank further noted that its extensive financial services network, including Point-of-Sale terminals operating across Nigeria’s 774 local government areas, would help facilitate access to the intervention.
