National Assembly Postpones Plenary Resumption to March 5
The National Assembly has postponed the resumption of plenary sessions earlier scheduled for Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
In a notice addressed to Distinguished Senators and Honourable Members, the Clerk to the National Assembly, Kamoru Ogunlana, Esq., said the decision was taken to enable various standing committees to conclude ongoing budget defence sessions.
According to the notice, plenary will now reconvene in both the Senate and the House of Representatives on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
Lawmakers in both chambers have been advised to take note of the new date and time for resumption and make necessary adjustments to their schedules.
The leadership of the National Assembly expressed regret for any inconvenience the postponement may have caused, assuring members that the adjustment is necessary to ensure the smooth conclusion of budget deliberations.
