2027: Reps Aspirants Forum Woos APC Leadership, Pledges Nationwide Mobilisation for Tinubu’s Re-election
The House of Representatives Aspirants Forum for Tinubu/Shettima 2027 has pledged to mobilise its political networks across Nigeria’s 360 federal constituencies to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in the 2027 general elections.
The National Coordinator of the Forum, Mohammed Danjuma, gave the assurance on Thursday during a courtesy visit to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, at the party’s national secretariat.
Danjuma said the Forum comprised former House of Representatives aspirants from across the country who were willing to deploy their political experience, grassroots connections and organisational strength to ensure the success of the APC in the forthcoming elections.
He noted that the Forum’s presence across all 360 federal constituencies positioned it to play a significant role in grassroots mobilisation, voter engagement and campaign coordination.
According to him, the group is committed to supporting Tinubu’s second-term ambition while also working for the electoral victory of other APC candidates.
“One of the major strengths of our Forum is its extensive national structure, comprising House of Representatives aspirants drawn from all 360 federal constituencies across the country.
“Our collective mission is to channel our political experience, networks and organisational capacity towards supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term ambition and the success of all APC candidates,” Danjuma said.
He explained that the Forum was established in 2022 under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to bring together aspirants who contested but failed to secure their parties’ tickets during primary elections.
However, he said subsequent political developments prompted several members to join the APC, where they had resolved to contribute to the party’s growth and electoral fortunes.
Danjuma explained that the visit to the APC national chairman was intended to reaffirm the Forum’s allegiance to the ruling party and discuss opportunities for its members to contribute to the party’s campaign activities.
He stressed that the Forum was not seeking to establish a parallel political structure or undermine existing party organs.
“Our intention is not to create a parallel structure or compete with existing party organs. Rather, we seek to complement the party’s efforts by making our collective experience, political networks and national reach available for the advancement of the APC,” he stated.
The National Coordinator maintained that integrating former aspirants into the party’s mobilisation framework would strengthen internal cohesion and enable the APC to make better use of its political resources.
He added that members of the Forum were prepared to cooperate with the party leadership and work within existing structures to achieve their common objectives.
Danjuma also praised Yilwatda for his leadership and efforts to promote unity, strengthen the party and position it for electoral success.
He called for stronger collaboration among party stakeholders, noting that unity and constructive engagement would be essential as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections intensified.
Reaffirming the Forum’s commitment, he said its members would respect the APC constitution, abide by the party’s decisions and work with its leadership to secure victory for Tinubu and other party candidates.
“As a Forum, we hereby reiterate our loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Chairman and the All Progressives Congress.
“We are committed to respecting the party’s constitution, abiding by its decisions and working diligently with its leadership to secure victory for the President and all APC candidates,” he said.
He further urged the media to maintain accurate, balanced and objective reporting of political developments in the country.
Danjuma expressed optimism that stronger cooperation between the Forum and the APC leadership would enhance the party’s grassroots mobilisation and campaign preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Naija News House reports that the delegation was received by Yilwatda alongside members of the APC National Working Committee (NWC) at the party’s national secretariat.
