Al-Qafila Trading Assures Nigerians of Quality, Safety of Saudi Dairy Products
Abuja – Al-Qafila Trading Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to providing Nigerians with safe, high-quality and affordable Saudi dairy products, assuring consumers that its products comply with both Nigerian regulatory requirements and international food safety standards.
The Managing Director of the company, Dr. Shuaibu Abubakar, gave the assurance while speaking with journalists on the sidelines of the ongoing Nigeria-Saudi Tourism Exhibition in Abuja on Tuesday.
Dr. Abubakar described Al-Qafila Trading Limited as a strategic bridge between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia, facilitating trade through the import and export of premium products while expanding business opportunities between both countries.
He disclosed that one of the company’s flagship products, Saudi milk, has been fully registered and approved by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), making it safe for consumption in Nigeria.
“As you can see, our products have been duly registered with NAFDAC. We ensure that all official requirements are fulfilled before introducing any product into the Nigerian market,” he said.
According to him, the dairy products are available in plain, chocolate, strawberry and date flavours, with different packaging sizes designed to meet the varying needs of consumers. He added that the products have a long shelf life while maintaining their quality when properly stored.
Addressing concerns about preservatives commonly associated with packaged dairy products, Dr. Abubakar explained that the milk contains no harmful substances and is manufactured under strict quality control measures in Saudi Arabia.
“There is no danger associated with our products. They are produced under strict quality control in Saudi Arabia, a country widely recognised for its high manufacturing and food safety standards,” he stated.
He further noted that the plain milk contains no added sugar, making it suitable for health-conscious consumers, while the date-flavoured variety derives its sweetness naturally from dates.
Speaking on the company’s operations in Nigeria, Dr. Abubakar said Al-Qafila Trading Limited has its headquarters in Kano, with branch offices in Abuja and Oyo State, alongside an expanding distribution network in Kaduna and other parts of the country. He added that the company has also commenced expansion into the Lagos market.
The managing director attributed the product’s limited visibility to its recent entry into the Nigerian market, noting that the company is intensifying awareness campaigns through conventional and digital media platforms.
“We have not been in the market for long, but we are increasing our advertising efforts through social media and other media platforms to ensure more Nigerians become familiar with our products,” he said.
He also emphasized that affordability remains one of the company’s key competitive advantages, noting that despite being imported, the Saudi dairy products are competitively priced for Nigerian consumers.
“Our products are of top quality and can compete with any imported milk anywhere in the world. At the same time, we have ensured that they remain affordable for Nigerian consumers,” he added.
Dr. Abubakar encouraged Nigerians to try the products, expressing confidence that their quality, taste and nutritional value would earn the trust and satisfaction of consumers across the country.
