Maturity Is Not By Age, Pastor Udofia Counsels Youths
Apostle I.O. Udofia of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, FCT Field, has exhorted the youths of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Kubwa Area, FCT Field, to cultivate the mindset of elders, rather than that of young individuals.
Pastor Udofia made this call on Saturday while engaging with journalists at The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Kubwa Area Headquarters.
The cleric, who served as a guest speaker at the Kubwa Area Youth Conference prayer, spoke on the topic ‘Travailing Generation’, with the texts Joel 2:28, Acts 2:17, and John 3:8. He emphasized that the era when age was considered a significant factor has passed, and that maturity, capacity, and ability to manage are now the benchmarks. He cited the example of David, who, as a young boy, killed Goliath, accomplishing what some kings could not.
Pastor Udofia urged the youths to adopt a mature approach to their endeavors, dreaming big, thinking big, planning big, and praying for the capacity to manage their aspirations.
However, he shared a personal anecdote about how his lack of capacity once embarrassed him at a large company, highlighting the importance of preparing for capacity when imagining big.
Furthermore, Pastor Udofia lamented the inability of the Kubwa Area youths to organize events that attract apostles, stressing the need for adequate publicity in the media to ensure that such events are well-attended, not only by Apostolic Church members but also by the general public. You can invite all sources of grace without making an open and public invitation so that people outside can come and tap from their grace. On an occasion like this, media and location should function; people can watch live and watch from a screen. Nowadays, media have a very vital role to play, both in the church and society, he said.
Pastor Udofia is the 7th Nyanya Area Superintendent and a newly ordained Apostle.
Since assuming his duties at The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Nyanya Area in 2024, Pastor Udofia has initiated numerous projects, resulting in significant spiritual growth and an influx of new members in the area.
