35-Year-Old Woman Allegedly Ki||s Co-Wife In Bauchi
The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 35-year-old woman, Hauwa’u Haruna, over the alleged murder of her co-wife, Jamila Adamu.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Nafiu Habib, disclosed this in a statement on Monday, September 28, 2026, saying the incident occurred during a domestic dispute at Tafawa Balewa Housing Estate on Sunday.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Hauwa’u allegedly, while acting under hallucinations, picked up a pestle and struck Jamila on the forehead.
Following a report of the domestic incident, detectives attached to the C-Division immediately mobilised to the scene.
The victim was rushed to the Specialist Hospital, Bauchi, where a medical doctor reportedly confirmed her death.
Police subsequently arrested the suspect and recovered the pestle allegedly used in the attack.
