Prophetess Sommy Blasts ‘Insufficient’ Birthday Gifts, Questions Members’ Contributions
The General Overseer of Glorious Manifestation Ministries, Prophetess Sommy, has expressed disappointment over what she described as inadequate financial contributions from members towards her birthday celebration.
Speaking during a church service, the cleric questioned why some members could afford to spend money celebrating their friends and romantic partners but were unwilling to contribute at least ₦10,000 towards her birthday.
Prophetess Sommy also challenged members who, according to her, spend money on birthday gifts, portraits and other forms of celebration for people who may not have the same spiritual significance in their lives.
She urged members to see their contributions towards her birthday as an expression of appreciation for the spiritual investment she makes in their lives.
The prophetess further encouraged members to consider the grace they desire in her life and view their donations as an opportunity to honour and attract such grace.
“Any grace that is in my life that you desire, and you are using it to make this birthday gift donation, as we have started, that grace will be multiplied in your life,” she said.
She added that only a few members had so far contributed towards the celebration despite the large number of people in the church’s various groups.
