Drama: “It’s Not God’s Will for Us to Marry,” Man Says After Cancelling Wedding in Abia
Samuel Ogbonna has explained why he called off his planned wedding to his fiancée, Gift, saying the decision was based on his conviction that it was not God’s will for them to get married, despite the love and friendship they shared.
In a message addressed to his friends and acquaintances, the man said he decided to speak publicly to thank God for how far He had led him and for the strength and experiences he had gained through the situation.

According to him, he and Gift were lovers and had also developed a strong friendship, while both had gone “very far” together in their commitment to serving God and humanity.
However, he maintained that their relationship would not culminate in marriage because he believed that God’s will had prevailed.
“If it’s God’s will for me to marry Gift today, nothing could have stopped it, come what may. But the truth is, it’s not the will of God for both of us to marry.”
Addressing Gift affectionately as “Mama Gift,” he encouraged her to remain strong and courageous, while wishing her well and expressing his belief that she would eventually find a husband.
