Church Cancels Wedding Over Bride’s Refusal To Spend A Night At Pastor’s Residence
The leadership of the Assemblies of God Church, Okpu 2, Aba, Abia State, has cancelled a wedding after the bride-to-be refused to sleep at the church’s parsonage, in line with its marriage policy.
According to church tradition, it is mandatory for the bride to spend the night before the wedding at the residence of the host pastor. This arrangement allows the church to conduct a blood pregnancy test a few hours before the wedding ceremony.
However, the bride’s refusal to comply with this policy led the church to call off the wedding, even after guests had already gathered for the event.
